Apart from its traditional role of thrift and loans: The Society has contributed immensely to the socio-economic development of the communities in which it operates .The Society has developed a trademark culture of social philanthropy. The society’s impact can be seen in the following areas:
Education: The society allows tertiary students to undertake their internship. It also provides both financial and in kind to basic schools located within its catchment area of operation with Exercise books, learning kits, DVD, modems and cash.
SOS Orphanage: Every year, the society visits

Cleaning and sanitation: The society helps in providing sanitation equipment and protective clothing to communities in its catchment area.
